busy, busy, busy

Sorry it's been so long. Things have been crazy and hectic this past month. School ended and we got to go on one last field trip to a miniature horse farm. The kids had such a great time!

This was a dwarfed miniature horse. It really only came up to Cate's shoulder!

Our backyard flooded when a tornado went through our area. This is actually about 3 inches less than what the water level was at it's highest. We got water in our garage and basement. It's the city's fault, a sewer drain near our house was backed up.

Beth had her first ballet recital. They were butterflies! Alexis (her best friend from school) was also in her class this year. They had such a good time together and we are hoping they will either be in the same class at school next year or will get on the same soccer team.

We also have a new addition to our family. No, I'm NOT pregnant again. We got a puppy, which was our compromise to another baby. His name is Buster and is a cairn terrier (like Toto from the Wizard of Oz). We are getting used to having him in the house and I think he's getting used to the noise level of us. Cate is having the hardest time with him since his idea of playing is not the same as hers.

Okay, what IS it with having four kids and then getting a puppy? That's what Jen West did, too. But at least your puppy will stay small . . .
