None of the children have taken unexpected bus rides recently. We celebrated Thomas' 4th birthday quietly. Just us 6 plus grandparents. He is newly in love with his Diego Dinosaur Rescue Mountain and Planet Heroes rocket ship.
One downfall to now having children that can read is not being able to write your blog in peace. I currently have two readers over my shoulder.
The only thing that has been broken lately is my camera. Hence, the lack of pictures. "Someone" was playing photographer and the lens is now stuck halfway out and won't budge. That "someone" that I suspect told me Mr. Nobody did it, which is the response I get anytime I suspect a certain "someone" is the guilty party. And since I live in the middle of nowhere near civilized stores I haven't made the trek up to Clarksburg (40 mins. away) for the nearest camera store. Even with the falling price of gas.
I am continuing on with my quest to bake the perfect loaf of bread which I must sadly report is worth 2 points for 1 slice. I have re-committed myself to relieving my body of its Cate-weight and have gone back to Weight Watchers. Wish me luck!
Now onto my title. Every week Beth and Patrick bring home one-page magazines from Scholastic with a theme. Last week's was the presidential election. There was a picture of each candidate inside and Beth asked me who they were. She then asked who I voted for. I told her John McCain. "So John McCain is the new president?" "No," I said, "Barack Obama won the election and is the new president." "You should have voted for him then," says Beth. And that is politics according to a 5-year-old, vote for the person you think will win.
P.S. I started writing this on the first but didn't get to finish it until today.

Who is "DH"? Does that stand for "dear husband"?
I love the innocence and logic of children- especially the little ones. You are blessed to have such wise children. I hope you get your camera fixed soon- i love to see pics of your family.
I love Beth's logic. Did she give you a "Duh, Mommy!" look to go with the words?
We seriously need to get together. What are your plans during the week of Thanksgiving? I'm dogsitting for Sharleen, but otherwise I'm around. I guess I just make sure the dog has food and take her for walks.
